Allow renaming filenames in a text editor screen with macros

I used to use a great program called Oscar's Renamer, but it doesn't play well with Vista. I could show all selected filenames as a list in a text file and I could quickly edit names one at a time, copy and paste, do search and replace, and even record simple keyboard macros to do things like 'move to start of name, select text up to the "_" character, replace it with "GAOTD", go right 3 characters, insert "123", delete next 3 characters' and then repeat that for any name I select or x times. Then I can see all the new names, save the changes or abort them or make more changes. That was extremely easy, flexible and powerful, nothing else does it. Please add this kind of functionality to ExtraRenamer!
